Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Gruntled may process, why it is used and the choices available to visitors.

Last reviewed: 20 July 2026

Who is responsible

Gruntled.net is operated by Latitude60 Ltd, company number 14841042, registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. For privacy questions, contact piglington@gruntled.net or use the contact form.

Information you provide

If you contact us, we process the name, email address, message and any other information you choose to send so that we can read, route and respond to the enquiry. Do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.

Technical, security and usage information

Our hosting, firewall, anti-spam, security and performance systems may process IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device information and security signals. We use this information to deliver the site, prevent abuse, investigate faults and protect the service.

We use Burst Statistics for aggregated website measurement. Depending on its current configuration and your browser choices, analytics may use limited identifiers or storage to understand page use. We do not use analytics as a reason to collect more data than is needed to operate and improve the site.

Affiliate measurement

Gruntled uses Skimlinks. When you follow an eligible commercial link, Skimlinks and the relevant merchant or affiliate network may process click, device, referrer, transaction or cookie information to attribute commission and prevent fraud. Their processing is governed by their own notices and controls. See our affiliate disclosure and cookie policy.

Lawful bases

We process contact enquiries to take steps at your request and for our legitimate interests in communicating with readers and businesses. We process essential technical and security information for our legitimate interests in operating a safe, reliable website. Where UK law requires consent for non-essential storage or access, that consent is the relevant basis and can be withdrawn.

Who receives data

Data may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure, measure and operate the website, deliver contact messages and run affiliate attribution. We may also disclose information where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. We do not sell a contact-form message as a customer list.

International processing

Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, the provider and data exporter are responsible for using an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

Retention

Server and security records are retained for periods proportionate to operations and threat investigation. Contact messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, maintain an appropriate business record and meet legal obligations. Affiliate networks and merchants set their own retention periods.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Third-party websites

Outbound links lead to websites controlled by other organisations. Their privacy practices, cookies, content and transactions are their responsibility; read their notices before providing information.

Policy changes

We update this policy when the site, suppliers or legal requirements materially change. The review date above shows the latest published revision.
